Not sure you can grow your own microgreens? Let Mama Bear start them for you! Most of MBs seed varieties, the easy, fast growing types, are available to purchase this way. Orders received are grown on demand and ready in a few days. Local pick up and delivery only for live planters. You can also ask our retail partners to stock it for you.
Mama Bear starts with organic, non-GMO seeds
they are only grown in Promix with mycorrhizae, which promotes strong, healthy root growth.
No pesticides are used ever. Just hydrogen peroxide and/or white vinegar to prevent mould.
The containers used are ones that either had the tamper-proof lock missing or had an outdated label on them. Reduce and reuse first, then recycle! FYI the small containers are PLA all plant based and are compostable.
Tips and care:
Bottom water or mist. Use the lid (included with both sizes) as a tray to bottom water the microgreens. Let them dry out a bit (but not wilt) the day before harvesting. Harvest them all at once, when they are ready, then wash and dry the container well and use it to store your microgreens airtight in the fridge. Or if they are at different stages, harvest as needed, allowing younger MG's to mature before cutting them.

Speckled Peas are best grown away from light, so they stay pale, sweet and juicy. Just cover them with a clean tea towel to do this. They are ready when they are about 4-5" tall. They can be cut and grown again for a second harvest, so are a great value! Of course you can grow some up a trellis into full grown plants too!
